Alternative Education
CLT run a dynamic Alternative Education Programme for youth aged 13-16.
Alternative School Learning Programmes
We are based in Rototuna North and are contracted by Melville High School to provide this service. We operate from 9am-2.30pm, Monday to Friday during the school term and we pick up and drop off all our students.
Each young person is enrolled with a local high school but spend approximately 20 weeks with our Team. The intention is to transition each young person back into mainstream school, further tertiary training or employment.
We strive to create a space where young people can refocus and build their confidence, to pursue their passions in life. Our Team is dedicated to seeing lives transformed through learning, whether that is inside or outside of the classroom. We find that most young people that come through our programme require intensive wraparound support and as they receive that, they begin to make positive life choices.
